I know that most of yall will not know what The Perry Mt 24hr Enduro is, so Let me start with is is a 24 hour race. There are several diff ways to run the race. You can have a team with up to 6 riders, You can have a 2 man team, and lastly you can ironman the thing. You will have a pit area limited to 10 feet.

So here is the plan. I will 2 man team race. Terry Rogers will be my teammate. Under this class we can ride 2 bikes and take turns riding to complete the 24. We both ride late mod CR's so the spare parts will not be too hard to put together.

We both have started training and are back in the gym. The race is June 5th and 6th.

Thanks

I have talked with Leeo and I think that he is going to help in the pits if he can work the time off. He has been to several of these and it would be great to have him there to help out.

Yep, planning to be there.

Mark,

I'm expanding the big checklists I have put together for the endurance races based on a number of events and lessons learned.   I'll send them over to you within the week.   You probably have most of the things identified, but it never hurts to learn from other people's mistakes.    Grin

An established pit stop routine is also very helpful, although you and Terry will have a lot more time since you're running two bikes.   I posted a picture on the Corner Lot site of the typical pit layout.  You can see how people put up multiple canopies in their 10 feet of pit row to give more room in either shade or rain protection.

And be sure to bring spare rear tires.   The CR250R's tend to shred them on the Perry Mtn trails.

Sounds like fun in a painful kind of way.  Good luck Mark!
