What to do with the KTM?

Since no one here is talking/posting, and I'm not riding much so far this year, figured I pose a question to those interested.

Should I sell my 2006 KTM 560SMR or should I make it street legal and pseudo-adventure bike like? Would not be doing any crazy mods if I kept it, but the street legal conversion, add a large gas tank (4 gal or 6.6 gal), kick stand and probably an oil cooler (as much to add oil capacity as to keep it cool - 53% capacity increase). Street legal conversion would be about $600-700(need a new stator), kick stand $160, gas tank $250-300. The oil cooler is $450.

What say ye?

$1500 for suspension you can stand to ride on anything but a pool table.

$250 for tires that will last more than 100 miles on asphalt.

Misc fees and a bunch of farting around to get a plate.

For once will you just sell the square peg and buy a round one to start with.

Save wear and tear on your hammer.

You can buy a nice DR or KR for what you are talking about in mods and have a better bike to boot.

I agree with Cooter on this one...    If you could do it for virtually FREE, and really only had the farting around to do, then that'd be different.

Sell it and buy a Strom or something simmilar if that's what you want.   Of get off yer ass and go racing
