OK so what is everyone looking for this xmas?
« on: November 13, 2008, 10:12:58 PM »
It's almost that time of year again, where we spend all our hard earned greenbacks on the kids...

(and maybe a little on ourselves).

- I really thought I wanted a Phantom one piece suit, until I tried one on, they just aren't my size.
- I'm pretty set on video games for the PS3  (Fallout3 is fun as hell, so is Resistance2, looking forward to picking up Call of Duty 5 soon, probably before xmas).
- Other than that I really want a dune buggy... :)

What's on your xmas list this year?

SOME TIME OFF!!!!!!!!!

There is an old saying that people who go into business for themselves usually have an inconsiderate slavedriver for a boss !    ;D

(traditional wording cleaned up for the family crowd)

... back on topic....

I'm probably looking for something boring like furniture for the great room.   We did a bunch of renovation and tossed the old furniture before the construction.   Now we've been living with my younger daughter's college apartment furniture for the past six months.    :-\

and........

SOME TIME OFF !!!!      :P :P

Already got mine. Julie and I got a Temperpedic mattress for Christmas. She says we are now limited to $100 each for gifts. I guess I wasn't listening when I blew well past that for hers. Anyway, I don't want nuttin. Just time to work on stuff.

Ok the honest answer

What would I realy like to get for Christmas.   The best gift I could ever receive is to have all my kids and together for christmas day. Not that it will ever happen but dont hurt to wish.

Other that that maybe a couple of days out on the Bandit. TX or some place like that.

Matt,

If you haven't picked it up yet pop the $30 for GranTurismo Prologue. The thing is absolutely beautiful. The online sux sometimes because of the usual jerkoffs but if you go with the harder tracks you can get some fun times.

Crys and I haven't set our budget yet so I don't know what I want yet. Here's to MotoGP '08 though.

P.S. I hope somebody gets a Moderator's control pad for all these annoying sales threads lately.

What do I want for christmas ?  too much to list (My father's R65, a K12RS, an Aerostich, a new 1987 Mercedes 190D, a contractor for house work...

What will I be getting people - WIfe is getting some things from Pampered Chef, and soemthing else from the list she made me.  My 2y/o is getting all kinds of toys that loosly resemble hand tools (to balance out the play kitchen that he loves =)  My 8mo old will probably get biter biscuits (zwieback toast IIRC) and bibs.

What am I really looking for ?   Just less family drama (on my side) and a few nice LLBean shirts from my in-laws.  Perhaps I'm setting my sights too low =)

We're going to do the low key christmas thing this year.  The wife and I are hauling the kids up to the Tennesse mountains for three days and will spend the time hiking, tubing, sledding, sight seeing, or just hanging out...no in-laws, no big meals to prepare, no stress.  Both kids will get a couple low dollar gifts (good thing they're still young).  The wife and I bought couches earlier this month, so we're done.  I'm really looking forward to it.
Ride On!

We just bought ourselves Iphones as our christmas gifts. I hated Sprint and wanted to change. It's already come in really handy at work.

I also just bought a 2001 KTM 300EXC, so I think I'm tapped out for christmas stuff for myself...  :D

As far as other things I could use...

SCUBA equipment

HID lights for the 640

Rekluse and Emig Damper mount for the 300

Is that the Cycle World Show in Seattle? OR some other show? (where) I don't know what a TO show is. And I've not seen one's where you can actually buy the bikes there. What I've seen is the manufacturer puts on the display, or if the local dealer does (like the now defunt TriState BMW in Cincy used to beside the factory BMW display at VMD) you still can't buy a bike there and ride away. I'm not saying it can't be done, just wondering where this is and who is putting it on, etc. Details, we need details. :)
