Took the bike to London for a 5000 mile service. It's probably 120-130 miles each way, so some miles got racked up. Rained as I left Pikeville, which continued through Hazard. At Hazard I saw a couple of bike on the road, including an old Honda Interstate, the guy riding having no rain gear on, which I thought was weird. Got gas there and continued on. Had a visor/rain squeegee thumb thing malfunction just as I pulled onto the road, so after I got through town, I pulled off the road (Hal Rogers Pwky) to clear my shield and get set back up. While standign on the side of the road a group of about 15 or so bikes goes past. Mostly cruiser/tourers, but a sportbike was thrown in the mix. The raingear-less wingdinger was in there. I pulled back on the road and caught up to the group pretty quick. The first 2 waved my by, then I waited for the next passing zone. When I get to the passing lane, one of the fukers pulls over in the left lane to block traffic passing!!!! He got a Cooter special style pass.  Wink But I was slowed down enough that I couldn't take the front 4. Had to wait forever to get around them, next passing zone was quite a way down the road. The rain stopped just as I got stuck in the middle of the parade, which was nice. Saw a HUGE coyote on the side of the road (alive and looking at traffic). After I got around the parade, it was smooth cruisin' to London. Didn't have time to let them wash the bike, got Julie some Starbucks and put it in a Thermos and headed home. Was stuck behind KVE for the first 25 or so miles (through Manchester). The rest was again smooth cruisin' all the way home. Nice day out.  Grin

Kinda like a Gillette razor, very close shave. But without the shave cream, to leave him rough after its over.

Nah, Mac style involves passing in the oncoming lane across a double yellow, at race pace. Grin
