The CR is on Life support
« on: December 01, 2009, 01:12:42 PM »
Last week I pulled the CR out for a short ride with some friends. We made a few laps and the sun was setting and I thought I would make one more lap thru the woods. I had a real good run going and I had the grass track nailed. I was running 3 and 4 gear and by the time I made it to the main woods it was too dark to run them. No problem I ran the short cut and made the turn into the side woods to finish my lap. 4 gear into the side woods and down shifted to 2 made the right and short straight then a left short shifted 3 and back to 4 down the long straight by the fence. The next thing I know the left bark buster tagged a tree and the bars hit me in the ribs. I was ejected  from the bike and when I hit the ground I saw the bike in a flat spin flying over me bouncing from tree to fence and back into the trees.

The expansion chamber in bent back on the lt side and wraped around the motor. Both radiators are twisted and the bars are F*cked. The body is a total loss and I still managed to ride it out of the woods. It did not run great hell it didn't even run good but it got me out of the woods. I love my honda !!!!

P.S. Parts are on order

Friday was a good day! I managed to get the new Pro Circuit SS-2 pipe and Radiators installed I added gaurds and braces to them as well. Wet it up and started it. It lives  :o

The old body is still oln it and the new body is in a box. I have to order new graphics and when they come in I will install the body. The bars are in stock so I will get them installed this week.

I did go and order V Force 3 reed kit. They should be here this week as well.  ;D

Hey the bike is 3 years old now it needed the new reed kit!!
That's my story anyway. I think she may know better but I aint got caught yet.

I did not take any pics of the bike before i took it apart. I will have to take some tomorrow. The bike is still at the shop. The reeds are not here yet. Maybe tomorrow. I do have the old pipe I can take a picture of it.

I will post something.
