OK,
Do any of 'yall' have any direct experience installing Audio-vox cruise control? I think this is my next and most likely my last Farkle for the FJR.
(Well except maybe some kick ass Aux lights) but the Cruise is the next big priority.
While I suspect I can probably find a good tutorial, I'm still a bit scared. Is it really that bad?
Seems like the cost $100 plus some parts, and a little more install time, is far more effective than say a pre-built out McCruise system.

Yep, it takes time, but is worth doing. Mine is on the oilhead.
One of my riding friends down here has it on an FJR as well. Evidently all the info is on the FJR site and he claims you can pick up the speed sensor near the ECU. This would make it more reliable. Right now we're both running it with only the coil as the pickup. Sometimes it "hunts" a little...never more than about 200 rpm up or down.
