Sorry... Been busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest these last few days.
My tale of woe is posted here:
http://www.dishers.com/2009/05/25/my-md2020-ride-reportNot really a tale of woe, in the end we (Kyle and I) completed the route we set up to ride. In theory we scored well

We only dropped a couple of intended bonus points. I left off the biggest bonus in the rally from my score sheet and pissed away 387 points at the scoring table. Which in the end cost me approximately 15 places (out of 60) :fuck:
But we had fun, 2400 miles in 4 days, the bulk of which (1400) in a 31 hour span (minus 3 rest hours) = 28 hours.
The 22nd, 23rd, 24th hours were the hardest riding of my entire life. Riding down a relative straightforward stretch of I81 headed to Winchester MD, to beat our 24 hour mark and close the 'loop', in and amongst thunderstorms from 3am to 5:30am. I was damn sure during those hours that I'd absolutely, positively, never-ever do this again.
Then I napped from 6:am to 8am and it was a whole new world... the last 4.5 hours was still pretty tough going, the time in which we nabbed the big daylight only bonus, and in which time I didn't write it in my rally book.
But it was all good. I am now looking forward to next year.
There are some serious hard core riders in the MD2020.
I had hoped for a top 15 and if I hadn't dicked up the bonus I might have broken top 20. I was too tired at the dinner to figure that out so I'm waiting for Rick to post the results.
